This week, Mayank Baranwal is going to talk about his research. The title of the talk is “Fast and Robust Control of Nano-positioning System”.
Mayank is a fourth year graduate student in the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering. He is working with Prof. Srinivasa Salapaka on topics related to implementation of Robust Control Theory to high speed Atomic Force Microscopy; control of Power Electronic System and Micro-grids; and most recently on analysis of meta-heuristic clustering techniques with application to some real world problems, such as grid reduction, pick up and delivery problem with time-windows, etc. An ardent Cricket fan, he enjoys watching and playing cricket a lot. He also has an inclination toward painting.
