The weekly CSL Social Hour will be held in CSL 369 (student lounge) from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
To know CSL better, we decided to introduce CSL centers at Social hour. And CSL has seven centers!! So we decided to start with SONIC. And today we have Sai Zhang to talk about SONIC and his research. Come to the lounge at 3:00 pm to know more about SONIC, and have fun.
Sai Zhang received the B.S. in Electronic Science and Technology (with distinction) from University of Science and Technology of China. Since 2010, he has joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2012. Currently, he is a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since 2010, he has been a Research Assistant in Coordinated Science Laboratory. During the summers of 2013 and 2014, he was with Texas Instruments, Inc., Dallas, in the Embedded Processing Systems R&D Labs, where he was involved with designing reconfigurable error correction codec for memory and researching written once memory coding schemes for NVMs. His research interests are in the design of low power error resilient integrated circuits and architectures. He is a student member of the IEEE.
